Natural Enemies, itself a play on words, gets its name from the fact that record companies and artists are usually exactly that. This label intends to work with and develop bands. Natural enemies is dedicated to supporting the American music scene, bringing you the best this country has to offer. On this, our first release, we have gathered together 13 of the finest talent in New York. We are proud of what we have come up with. So look no further. Just sit back and play loud! Natural Enemies make better music.
[RSM's thumbbio on the innersleeve enclosure:]
R. Stevie Moore is the patriarchal epitomy of DIY. A musical empire of 170 home-made cassettes, 6 Lp's, 6 45's, and one 12" Ep, house a unique pastiche of wildly div- ergent songs and sound fragments drawn from the influences of this vit- tuoso's travels from Nashville to NJ via the second British Invasion. Heralded by Kurt Loder, Michael Bloom, Ira Rob- bins, David Fricke, and Jon Pareles as far back as 1974, the ermerging underground of Stevie's cottage industry is turning fashion music upside-down and produc- ing lethal satiric fall- out with each RPM. Mr. Moore's first Lp, consisting solely of 16 track studio work "Glad Music" was just released on New Rose Records. In France, it sold 5000 copies in its first two weeks. This remixed version of "CHANTILLY LACE" is its first app- earence in the USA on vinyl. Also, a new UK release is out in June on Cordelia Records. (c) GLAD MUSIC (p) H.P. Music
